Proposed Earth Science Education Summit in 2009

I'm helping organize an Earth Science Education Summit later this year and would be interested in getting ideas from you about organizations that you feel would contribute to the enhancement of earth science education in K12 in the US.

Hi David--the Globe program for starters. They have a tremendous amount of resources and curricula. I'm also working with Audubon NYC and other local environmental/conservation groups in NYC that have an educational mission. Bioblitzes are also occurring all over the U.S., with sponsors like the Smithsonian, the AMNH, and National Geographic. Other organizations--the WWF, Audubon's Together Green, and others--have a similar national scope. Though not necessarily K12, they are interested in K12 learning. I'll probably think of more...talk soon Jared
